This is a very rough calculator, intended to give you a ballpark figure for file sizes when planning storage for shoots. Where a file format is VBR, a constant maximum rate is assumed. Actual file sizes will vary based on scene complexity and other factors.

Figures for the XAVC-L and XAVC-I formats are taken from a support note on Sony's site. Info for ProRes formats is taken from Apple's white paper on the codec.
